The Firebase App Builders competition is an exciting online event dedicated to showcasing the innovative utilization of Firebase Extensions in app development.

This campaign provides a collaborative platform for developers of diverse backgrounds to contribute, innovate, and enhance the functionality and efficiency of Firebase through extensions. It offers participants an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, learn from others, and gain recognition on a larger scale.

Participants have the freedom to work independently, granting them flexibility and control over their project development timeline.

Individual participants may compete on their own, with their own company, or on a team of up to 4 participants.

Judging Criteria

All submissions will be judged using the following criteria on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being the lowest possible score and 5 being the highest.

Effective Integration of AI Extensions

Rewards the submission that effectively incorporates AI Extensions from Firebase into the application, leveraging machine learning capabilities to enhance functionality

Technical Execution

Acknowledges the submission demonstrating exceptional technical skills, robust implementation, and efficient utilization of Firebase Extensions.

Innovation and Creativity

Recognizes the submission that showcases the most creative and unique implementation of Firebase Extensions, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Effective Utilization of Firebase Extensions

Acknowledges the submission demonstrating exceptional technical skills, robust implementation, and efficient utilization of Firebase Extensions.

Community Choice Award

In addition to the official judging process, we will host a Community Voting phase where participants and the wider community can have their say in determining the winners. Community Voting allows participants to showcase their projects and gather support from peers, friends, and fellow developers.

Result Declaration

The ultimate genius will be revealed by our judging panel on 26th August, 2023 and the resukts will be announced on this website, Invertase blog post, Invertase Youtube channel and will also be mailed to you.

10 September, 2023

Prize Distribution

The winners will be contacted by our team for their addresses and the winning goodies will be sent at their addresses.

Every participant who submits a project will be rewarded with a FREE ticket to attend the Flutter Firebase Festival scheduled to take place on 26-27 September 2023 in Prague.

All prizes will be distributed after the final campaign and each team will receive a prize and will be split evenly between team members.

We have gathered most common questions that we have been asked for.

Participants are encouraged to submit their projects by adhering to the registration guidelines available on the campaign website, use "Register" button on top of the website or use this link to submit a form https://invertase.link/XmtQ. Once the registration process is completed, each participant will be provided with a dedicated link to submit their projects.

Yes, collaboration is allowed. Participants can form teams and work together to create innovative projects using Firebase Extensions. However, each team should have a designated team leader responsible for submitting the project on behalf of the team and can have up to 4 members

The winners will be determined by a panel of judges based on the judging criteria outlined in the campaign guidelines. There will be winners based on community voting too.

The winners of the Firebase Extensions Campaign will be announced on 26th August 2023. The announcement will be made through a blog post on the campaign website and potentially accompanied by a video showcasing the best submissions.

Participants can use third-party tools or libraries if they comply with the campaign rules and guidelines. The focus should be on leveraging Firebase Extensions, but additional technologies can be utilized to enhance the project's functionality.

While we expect participants to be independent and ask the community to find their answers, we aim to open a Discord channel to enable developers to talk to each other, hoping to help facilitate submissions and development.

Participants retain ownership of their projects and can continue to develop and deploy them as per their preferences. However, it is recommended to adhere to Firebase's terms of service and guidelines when using Firebase Extensions in production applications.

Participation is open to everyone. Regrettably, due to legal constraints, we cannot send prizes to residents of the following countries: Brazil, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, Russia, Sudan, Syria, and any territories under sanctions imposed by the EU, US, or UK.
